The evening was made exquisite by the tasty local cuisine served at the hotel's restaurant, complete with a working waterwheel adding to the ambience.Despite the slight language barrier, the staff's warmth and willingness to assist made me feel welcome. The surroundings, with a small river and pond, offered a tranquil setting for relaxation. The availability of activities for children, such as a playground and mini-zoo, made it an ideal spot for families looking to explore Thuringia.While the distance from the motorway may deter some, the hotel's unique atmosphere and top-notch services make it worth the extra drive.
